The Principes Nubios and the history of the prostitution

Abstract

In this text a historical analysis on prostitution is presented with the aim of answering the basic question: what it is the reason of the permanent existence of this profession through history? If it is true that the debate on what to do with prostitution: prohibition or legalization, has been a constant worry in our societies, we rarely investigate in the deep part of our social structures in order to try to understand (apart from the obvious thing) why does prostitution exist? and once we answer that, probably proceed to its eradication.
