Resumen
El propósito de este texto es presentar algunas consideraciones teórico-metodológicas relacionadas con el estudio de la dimensión afectiva de las representaciones sociales. Esta dimensión ha sido, hasta ahora, una vertiente poco estudiada a pesar de que su importancia haya sido señalada por Moscovici años atrás. Me interesa en particular señalar la necesidad de considerar la dimensión emocional en la investigación que se realiza en el campo de las representaciones sociales porque su estudio puede proveer claves para entender su organización y funcionamiento. En el texto primero incluyo algunos planteamientos sobre la manera en que han sido estudiadas las emociones desde diferentes perspectivas, esto con el fin de proporcionar un recuento que permita ubicar los diferentes acercamientos, así como algunos indicios de dónde y cómo abordarlas. Posteriormente, expongo la relación entre emociones/afectos y representaciones sociales para mostrar la importancia de la resonancia afectiva en el proceso de construcción de las representaciones sociales. De ahí paso a proporcionar un recuento de algunos de los trabajos empíricos realizados tanto desde la perspectiva estructural como la procesual con el propósito de mostrar algunas pistas metodológicas que pueden contribuir a su estudio. Por último, expongo algunas líneas de investigación a futuro.
